Beginning in January 2005, state licensed lobster dealers in New Hampshire will be allowed to report landings online using SAFIS, a free online reporting tool created by state and federal resource agencies of the Atlantic coast. Before using SAFIS for the first time you must install J-Initiator, a free program that allows SAFIS to run on your Internet browser.

You have two options for downloading J-Initiator onto your computer:

  1. On the disc, click "Get Started" on the left side of the screen, or

  2. Using your Internet browser, go online to http://safis.accsp.org (no "www") and click "Get Started."

These options will look the same on your screen; the only difference is the disc does not require an internet connection.
